Nice coincidence: Warmbad Villach and Bangor, Wales ...

Just a fun posting: I stumbled over the track plans of these two stations:

• Warmbach Villach (1959, but remained like that into the '80s)
• Bangor, Wales (1987)

... look very similar, don't they? However, the real situation is quite different:

• Bangor is a "usual station" at a double-track line (with left hand running, as always in the UK).
• Warmbad Villach, however, was actually situated at two single-track lines, namely the Karawankenbahn to Rosenbach (and further on through the Karawanken tunnel to Slovenia) and the Rudolfsbahn to Tarvis (and Italy).

As I said—just a nice coincidence.
